The NASA sponsored Centennial Challenges Program promotes technical innovation through a novel series of prize competitions.

The Personal Air Vehicle (PAV) Challenge is intended to promote the popular use of self-operated, personal aircraft for safe, efficient, affordable, environmentally friendly, and comfortable on-demand transportation as a future solution to America's mobility needs.

"The intent of the PAV Challenge is to encourage innovation in the amateur and sporting aviation communities to help enhance the general aviation transportation system," said NASA's Associate Administrator for the Aeronautics Research Mission Directorate, Dr. J. Victor Lebacqz.

NASA has selected the Comparative Aircraft Flight Efficiency Foundation to organize and conduct the General Aviation Technology Challenge. CAFE Foundation's 25 years of innovations in measuring and analyzing personal aircraft performance and its stellar reputation for safety and accuracy make it the ideal steward of this competition.

In response to our letter of interest regarding participation in this prestigious 5-year event, the CAFE Foundation has invited Trans Air Systems and its Flying Motorcycle to be part of this exciting prize competition. Upon completion of our first full size concept demonstration prototype, in is our intention to accept the PAV Centennial Challenge invitation and compete.
